''Topper and Kayley are 5 and 6 years old respectively. I bred them myself. This year Sarah Dent and Clair Turner started them for me. They were not remedial horses but Topper is a highly strung Anglo Arab, and handled wrongly, could have lost his character and perhaps even become aggressive.
The facilities at Sarah’s were just what I was looking for – spacious, well maintained paddocks, off road hacking, and indoor round pen, outdoor manege and secure stables. The horses were to live out, which pleased me. Sarah has a quiet demeanour, which instilled confidence in the horses and me. She explained the training programme and timescale to me, which was all agreed before the horses arrived at Gallabar Farm. Despite the dreadful summer weather the training programme went ahead as scheduled and I had frequent reports by text and phone. I was also able to visit and see the progress and I knew then that there would be no problems. By the end of the period Sarah had done more than I had asked of her – both horses had been hacked round the local village. I know that Sarah and Clair could have produced either of them for whatever career I might have had in mind; the training my horses have had would have been a good grounding for any young horse. They have had no unhappy experiences with humans and will do their work with confidence and pleasure.''

''Sarah is brilliant! Not only with the horses but with the owners too. Sarah spent a lot of time reassuring me and building my confidence. Our boy came back a different horse and I am far better at handling him.'' HH Ha
''Her loading has been super and it has had a knock on effect that I'm not stressed when we get there, so we are both calmer, which has been reflected in our results.'' J&T Selby
''Sarah took H for restarting and schooling. There are few people I would have trusted him with, but she was one of them. He is wonderful now and I am a different person too'' MS Beverley
''I was given Gertie as a gift, a 4yo failed flat racehorse, she had 6 months time out and when it came to re-schooling her she was nappy, stubborn and just untrainable! I seeked help from Sarah as something had tochange. Sarah and Clair worked so hard with her, she blossomed in their care and kept me involved every step of the way.
I brought her home after just one month and she was a changed horse, within 2 months we had come placed in every show and dressage class we entered,
one year on she has completed her first one day event. Gertie is a such happier, healthier and confident animal, I owe it to the lessons she learnt at Sarah’s, to trust and the willing to learn.'' SG York
